Green fig preserve is made with completely unripe figs. They are soaked, boiled, steeped in syrup, and finally poached in it. Delicious on toast or a hot scone, fig preserve has uses well beyond breakfast. Try it with cheddar cheese on a cracker or in a grilled cheese sandwich.

The Soet Tand Jam factory is situated on the farm “Harmony”, in the fertile Keisie River Valley at the foothills of the majestic Langeberg mountains. From humble beginnings as a small but inspired project run from a home kitchen, Soet Tand eventually grew into a South African Favourite.
